UNIZIK WON FOURTH EDITION OF TENT COMPETITION
Nnamdi Azikwe University has emerged winner of the fourth edition of the TENT Gathering hosted by Paradigm Initiative Nigeria. No fewer than 507 students from 22 tertiary institutions in the country participated in the competition entitled Learn! Unlearn! Relearn!, a statement by the organisers said on Monday.
The contest enables students to display their innovative and relevant technology solutions for Nigeria.
The statement added that technology experts and leading entrepreneurs such as the Chairman, Teledom Group, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem; Head of Department, Computer Science, OAU Ile-Ife, Dr. Adeniran Oluwaranti; Managing Partner, Red Media Africa, Chude Jideonwo; Chief Executive Officer, Cymantics Nigeria, Emeka Okoye, and the PIN’s Executive Director, ‘Gbenga Sesan, spoke on the occasion.
While UNIZIK won the N1m Taiwo Bankole Ogunyemi Prize for the best demos of technology products and services, the second and third place positions went to the Anambra State University, Uli and the University of Benin, respectively.
