Kano State Employs 1,000 Teachers for Secondary Schools
The Kano State Government, through the Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSMB) has announced the successful recruitment of about 1,000 teachers for the secondary schools across the state.
Making the announcement, the Director-General KSSSMB, Alhaji Habib El-Yakub, said that the exercise formed part of the measures taken by the government to fill the vacuum created by teachers who had retired or left the profession in search of greener pastures.
He said the government has also concluded arrangements for the recruitment of a second batch of 1, 900 teachers in the state soon.
Alhaji El-Yakub added that the board is currently in partnership with over 20 private firms, which specialise in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), to ensure the full take off of ICT centres in all secondary schools in the state.
This he said will bring a massive improvement in the area of learning in the state.
